Reflections #6: Warmth
5” x 7” original watercolor painting
The first thing this painting reminded me of as I was painting it was rainbow sherbet: the kind you get as a kid that is a mixture of the cherry, orange, and lime flavors. I never particularly liked this sherbet (I am more of an ice cream girl), but I can’t help but think fondly of the warm summers and freedom of my childhood that these colors and flavors evoke. This painting makes me feel warm and comforted. I hope you do as well.
